🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!
🌟 Improved! Party Shop Links: URL Formatting Setting [Web Office Admin] To support party plan in the Retail Shop, the party plan widgets that share the online party info and link to the party store have a new setting. In the Web Office Admin under Advanced Settings > Settings > Party Plan: PartyURL you are able to format your URL to use parameters for the {{domain}}, {{webalias}}, {{partyID}}, {{companyName}}, and {{subdomainName}} (used for non-live environments).
🌟 Improved! Party Shopping in the Retail Site [Retail Site] Another big win for party plan companies is the ability to shop in the party store (store ID 7) with your specified inventory and pricing. When the Retail Site detects the new party URL formatting mentioned above, the store will automatically get items from the party store and the customer’s order will be attributed to the correct host.
🌟 Improved! New Checkout Page Template [Retail Site Admin] A few of our clients have had a sneak peak and are getting started with the new unified checkout experience. One big pre-win here is that we can now customize the checkout page with a page template. The entire flow is coming soon so keep an eye on the release notes for more info as we get closer to rolling out the changes.
🌟 Improved! Setting to Show Autoship Types [Web Office Admin & Retail Site Admin] We have always hid Services and Annual Renewals from the Manage Autoship page by default. Now we have a setting that lets you decide what the right way is. The setting in the Web Office Admin is found under Advanced Settings > Settings > AutoOrder: ShowAutoshipTypes and in the Retail Site Admin under Company Setting > Settings > Autoship: Show Autoship Types.
🌟 Improved! Update Nexio Name In Settings [Corp Admin] For those ever confused why our setting to set up Nexio was named Emvio, you will be happy to hear that we have updated all our settings to match the proper name. You now see Nexio in our system instead of Emvio.
🔮 Upcoming! Improved Unified Checkout Experience [Retail Site] Our teams are constantly working to improve the shopping experience and right now they are busy working on a whole new way to shop and checkout. Keep your eye on the release notes in the next few weeks to see what’s coming and how to take advantage of these new features.
🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed
🐞Fixed: Sales Dashboard > Sales History Year Showing Wrong [Corp Admin] When comparing your sales data from the previous year, if the month you hovered over was in a previous year already, the years were both wrong. So when looking at Dec 2020 you would actually see it listed as Dec 2021 and the previous was 2020. This confusing bug has been fixed.
🐞Fixed: Stacking 100% of Shipping Coupon Issues [Corp Admin] The logic to determine coupon eligibility would fail on giving free shipping if there were other coupons (like a % off your order coupon) already applied to the order. The shipping coupons have been fixed to not get mixed up with other coupons.
🐞Fixed: Users Allowed to Delete their last CC on File Causing Autoship Failures [Corp Admin & Web Office] There are existing settings that prevent users from being able to delete a CC on file if it is attached as a payment method to an autoship. However, there are some autoships that get created and are designed to use the CC attached to the account (like annual renewals). In this case, the user would be able to delete their CC on file and our rules would not catch that an autoship relied on that payment method. The rules have been fixed to more extensively check to see if a user has an autoship of any type and if that card is considered the “fall back” payment method in case there is no payment directly attached to the autoship.
📘 Help Center and Developer Portal
📘New! Feature Availability Based on Plan Level [Articles] Now each Help Center Article will tell users if the documented feature is for Starter, Business, and/or Premium tiers.
📘New! Calling Custom APIs in Custom Pages [Developers] Documentation on how users can call custom APIs (or any API) in Custom Pages for the eCommerce Shop and Web Office.
📘New! (Client DLL) Creating a Custom API [Developers] Added this code example to show how to create a custom API in the DirectScale Client DLL.
📘New! Creating a Custom API [Developers] Added this code example to show how to create a custom API in the DirectScale Client Client Extension.
📘New! Creating a Service [Developers] Added this code example for a service to verify that an Associate's email address format is valid.
📘New! Crediting Volume with a Coupon [Developers] Added this code example for added or adjusting volumes within coupon custom code.
📘New! Creating Custom Coupons Using ProcessCouponCodes Hook [Developers] Added this first version to show the basics of this customization. More detailed steps are coming.
📘New! Client Default KPI: PVAccumulator and GroupVolumeTree [Developers] Added this to help comp plan developers set this so errors are avoided.
🌟 Improved! Rules and Payments [Developers] We improved and expanded this content.
🌟 Improved! Enabling a Page Template and Enabling a Component Template [Developers] We improved the information by removing outdated instructions.
🌟 Improved! Custom Pages [Developers] We improved the information by adding Search Engine Listing toggle instructions.
🌟 Improved! Custom Money Out Payment Provider (Merchant) [Developers] Added documentation to help users add a custom provider using the Client Extension.
🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?
- Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
- We have created a DirectScale Marketplace [Beta] for customers to get access to Apps, Integrations, and other expert industry services and will go “live” with it soon.
- We are working on a Troubleshooting project to improve articles with steps to resolve issues in addition to showing how to do something in the platform.
