Value Added Tax (VAT) Inclusive Pricing is when a price already includes the tax rate.

The Countries page is where you add and configure countries, languages, and currency types. You can also set a tax rate that will calculate tax on an order’s tax line item. With a few simple steps, you can include the tax rate in each item’s price in that country, a good idea for countries with VAT Inclusive Pricing.

To add a country:

  1. Click Add Country.

    Add Country button

The Add New Country pop-up window opens.

    Add New Country pop-up
  2. In the pop-up, select a Country, Country Languages, and Currency.

  3. Select the Add Tax checkbox.

    Add Tax checkbox
  4. Enter the country's Tax Rate as a decimal (.12 instead of 12).

    Tax Rate entry
Entering a Tax Rate without checking the Add Tax checkbox will set the tax rate for the country, but won’t include the tax rate in the price until the store’s Checkout Summary.
  5. Click Save.

The pop-up closes, and the country configuration is added to the Countries List.

While shopping in the Web Office and eCommerce Shop, an item’s price will include the already calculated tax rate and won’t display as a separate tax line in the Checkout Summary.
