🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Platform Scalability in Client Extensions [Corp Admin] Our Site Reliability team has been working on a huge project to improve the speed and stability of our platform at scale for about a year now. Every week we release improvements behind the scenes to make the entire platform more scalable, but this week marks a huge milestone to bolster the platform scalability around client extension code. The efforts of this team are manifest by our dramatic increase in uptime of our platform this year - especially as it relates to clients who have large amounts of traffic hitting the sites and a lot of custom programming. 

🔮 Upcoming! Improved Unified Checkout Experience [Retail Site] Our teams are constantly working to improve the shopping experience and right now they are busy working on a whole new way to shop and checkout. Keep your eye on the release notes in the next few weeks to see what’s coming and how to take advantage of these new features.

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Documents and Media Not Uploading Large Files [Web Office Admin] The max file size to upload into the Documents and Media is 50MB but smaller documents were failing with the error saying they were too large. This has been fixed so files up to 50MB can be uploaded without errors. 

🐞Fixed: Retail Customers Not Receiving Reset Password Emails [Retail Site] There was logic in the system to not send out reset password emails to retail customers to avoid a guest from getting that email. This was causing  issues where normal retail customers weren’t able to get their passwords reset. The logic has been improved so guest customers still won’t be able to get a reset password email but normal retail customers will.

📘New! Defining KPIs [Developers] Added a new article to provide instruction for inputting custom KPIs into the platform.

📘New! Custom Fields [Developers] Added a new article to provide instruction for using custom fields for custom development.

📘New! Viewing an Associate’s Order History [Video] Added a new video to its corresponding article.

📘New! Viewing an Associate’s Volume Distribution [Video] Added a new video to its corresponding article.

🌟 Improved! Introduction to the Unified Admin (BETA) [Article] Improved wording and added cross-links.

🌟 Improved! Adding Web Office Navigation Links [Article] Improved wording, fixed typos, and added cross-links.

🌟 Improved! Using the Grid Compensation Plan Editor [Article] Changed from GUI to the more accurate name, and improved wording and style.

🌟 Improved! Creating Rules [Developers] Connected the article to the commission profile section and improved the wording.

🌟 Improved! SQL Editor [Developers] Made improvements by adding SQL Log information and other wording/grammar improvements.

🌟 Improved! Various Help Articles [Article] Improved wording and images for Changing an Order's Status to Shipped in Corporate Office and Viewing an Associate’s Order Detail. Also simplified the instructions and improved wording/grammar for Generations and Compression Rules, External App to Web Office (Customer ID), External App to Web Office (External ID), Web Office to External App, Admin Site to External App, and Custom Page/Widget to External App. Simplified the wording and style for Setting Up a Custom Domain, SSL Certificate, CNAMES, and Configuring Email Settings.

🐞Fixed! Introduction to the Directscale Platform [Article] Corrected broken links, simplified wording, and added more cross-links to other articles.

🐞Fixed! Grid and XML Editors [Article] Fixed broken links for Using the Grid Compensation Plan Builder and Using the XML Compensation Plan Editor articles.

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Improving shipping package support and stock level enhancements
• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We are creating a DirectScale Marketplace for customers to get access to Apps, Integrations, and other expert industry services.
• We are gathering more Compensation Plan code examples and documentation for developers.
• We are working on a Troubleshooting project to improve articles with steps to resolve issues in addition to showing how to do something in the platform.
