Split Orders - to be Fulfilled by Multiple Warehouses
5
The client would like the ability to split orders with multiple items because they need to be ship separately, due to multiple items being housed in different warehouses or an item(s) is not in stock in one location and available at another.

This would be tremendously helpful to be able to either ship the product from a separate warehouse OR marked to be tracked as back ordered systematically where it can then automatically be shipped out once it is available again.
Agree! And plus one to Huntly's post. Sometimes an item is temporarily OOS and we want to ship the available item out, then ship the back ordered item at a later date.
Definitely need the ability to split ship! We have several scenarios of having an order with multiple items on the order, some in stock and some coming in stock at a later date. We need the ability to ship the items that are in-stock immediately to keep the customer happy, make the money faster, and process returns in a timely manner too.
Joseph Draschil Product Team - this is definitely a feature we need to look into. There are at least 3 clients who've expressed (in this forum) wanting this feature and know there have been others.
Huntley, jason, and Casey Straughn thank you for taking the time to add your feedback. We listened! We released split order functionality in our public APIs in December 2020 that enables 3rd party logistics companies to split an order into multiple packages. This information was communicated in our release notes, but the resolution was never updated here, so I hope that you received the announcement when it was originally published. Check out the APIs in the developer documentation for more information.
