Release Notes: August 6, 2020

Here’s what’s new with DirectScale the week of August 6th, 2020.

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Data Editor UI Updates [Corp Admin] We made some UI changes to make the tables more mobile friendly and updated the design to better fit in with the DirectScale approved style. 

🌟 Improved! Unified Admin for Resetting Password Parameters [Corp Admin] Previously all apps had their own Admin page to select which parameters the users could use to reset their password. Now the preferences are set in one place under Corp Admin > Administration > Advanced Settings > Associates CRM: Login. 

🌟 Improved! Multi-Select in Report Center [Web Office] To make the Report Center easier to create useful reports, we have made all fields that are lists (i.e. Rank, Level, Associate Type, State, etc) multi-select options when creating or editing a report. 

🌟 Improved! Loading Bar [Retail Site] As part of the continuing effort to update the UI on the Retail Site we have updated the loading bar to match a material design loading bar. 

🔮 Upcoming! Stock Level Updates [Corp Admin] We are beginning to make some changes in the way shipping packages are created for orders and first we need to make some underlying improvements to the stock levels. There are no noticeable changes but we wanted everyone to be aware of what improvements we are making!

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Party Orders: UI Fixes [Web Office] On the Party Orders widget the lines on the input fields went away as soon as you started typing. This has been fixed. 

🐞Fixed: Menu Options Running Off the Page [Retail Site] When the header contained either a lot of menu items or menu items with long names the text was overlapping on the Right menu and sometimes went off the page. This has been updated to include a “More” link when the links do not fit on the screen size. 

🐞Fixed: Subscription and Add Buttons Not Resizable [Retail Site] When both the “Add to Subscription” and “Add to Cart” button were enabled on the Products page the buttons would run off the bottom of the card and be cut off. This has been fixed so the buttons will resize the card if the text is longer.

📘New! Web Office Admin Settings Guide [Guide] Added this guide to help customers understand the many ways to enable additional features and customization through Web Office Admin Settings.

📘New! Adding an Associate's Name to the Web Office Header [Developers] Added this guide to help customers understand how to make it so an associate's name appears next to their profile image in the Web Office header.

📘New! Adding Hotjar Analytics Tracking [Developers] Added this guide to help customers understand that, with JavaScript Insertions for both Web Office and eCommerce Shop, you can add any valid JavaScript to the sites including stuff like Hotjar analytic tracking.

🌟 Improved! Glossary of Important Terms and Concepts [Article] Made edits and improvements to information and added some linking functionality.

🌟 Improved! Introduction to the Unified Admin (BETA) [Article] Made edits and improvements and moved it under Introduction to DirectScale.

🌟 Improved! Frequently Asked Questions [Article] New Category with better organization.

🌟 Improved! DirectScale Application URLs [Article] New Category with better organization.

🌟 Improved! Platform Configuration [Article] New Category with better organization.

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Improving shipping package support and stock level enhancements
• Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We are exploring a new way to deliver developer documentation beyond API documentation including articles with specific code examples.
• We are documenting the Advanced Settings for all three applications.
