Release Notes: February 18, 2021

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Coupon Price Groups Visible on the Coupon List [Corp Admin] To make it easier to see all the coupon parameters, we added in the column to see the Price Groups selected for the coupons. 

🌟 Improved! Publish Between Live and Stage [Retail Site Admin] Now you can test out your changes on Stage and push them to Live with the easy, in context publish buttons on the Retail Site Admin. This extends our publish ability found already in the Web Office Admin and is available through enabling the “Publish View/Edit” settings through roles and permissions.

🔮 Upcoming! Improved Unified Checkout Experience [Retail Site] Our teams are constantly working to improve the shopping experience and right now they are busy working on a whole new way to shop and checkout. Keep your eye on the release notes in the next few weeks to see what’s coming and how to take advantage of these new features.

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Fixed Defect With Global Coupons for Assigned Recipients [Corp Admin] When creating a global coupon, you can specify the BackOffice IDs of who should receive this coupon. This was working when you only had one user in the field, but wouldn’t if you had more than one. So this defect has been fixed.

🐞Fixed: Share to Twitter [Web Office] The link to share the documents and media to Twitter was not populating the proper share link. This has been fixed so users can share via Twitter again.

📘 Help Center and Developer Portal

📘New! Rollover Rules, Cycle Pay, and Payments [Developers] Added information and examples for these commission elements for easier use by developers.

📘New! Extension Hooks and (Client DLL) Legacy Hooks [Developers] Consolidated Hooks and added a new section for Extension Hooks and new details about if, when, and how a user should implement Legacy Hooks.

📘New! Event Bus [Developers] Added this information to show how to create event-related alerts for certain events in the DirectScale Platform.

📘New! Email Variables [Article] Added descriptions about what each email variable means and how they function when an Admin chooses to use them.

📘New! Changing Your Money-Out Provider [Article] Added details on how to change the provider for commission payments as well as linking to the Marketplace for a list of currently supported providers.

🌟 Improved! Login Popups [Developers] We improved the information by adding JavaScript dismiss details.

🌟 Improved! Reference: Volume Accumulators [Developers] We improved the information by adding more detail on the ILoggerService Interface.

🌟 Improved! Extension Logs [Developers] We improved the information by adding more definitions.

🌟 Improved! Support Escalation Protocol and Severity Levels [Article] Added specifics about support for Starter, Business, and Premium tiers.

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Improving shipping package support and stock level enhancements
• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We have created a DirectScale Marketplace [Beta] for customers to get access to Apps, Integrations, and other expert industry services and will go “live” with it soon.
• We are working on a Troubleshooting project to improve articles with steps to resolve issues in addition to showing how to do something in the platform.
