Here’s what’s new with DirectScale the week of March 19th, 2020.

Amid all the interesting events going on this week, we have still managed to keep our heads held high and our developer pipelines full! We hope everyone is safe and healthy and enjoying a little time to slow down (just a bit).

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🎁 New! ProPay Integration for Money-In [Corp Office] A lot of our new clients have requested support for ProPay as a Money-In provider and we have completed the integration! Just like all our other Money-In integrations, please work with our support team to know how to properly get your credentials in the system and everything turned on when you are ready to start. 

🎁 New! API for Getting Volume Adjustments [Corp Office API] This is the first story we are releasing surrounding volume adjustment visibility. This new API takes an orderID and returns all volume adjustments tied to that order. 

🌟 Improved! Nexio Integration Re-Fetch Single-Use Token [Corp Office API] When using Nexio as a Money-In provider, if the user received an error, the pop up modal would deactivate because the original token was no longer valid and the user would have to refresh the screen to try their card again. This has been updated to use a single-use token so we can better handle errors and improve that user experience.

🌟 Improved! GetCompanySettings Returns Additional Settings [Corp Office API] To better support our Web Office, we added in some additional parameters to GetCompanySettings. We added: FrequencyTypes, Ranks, Countries, and PeriodTypes.

🌟 Improved! Lots of Tech Health Cleanup [Corp Office] Our developers are keeping our system clean and efficient! This week they have: removed support ticket statuses and tree service tables from the cached tables, started work refactoring how inventory items are saved to speed up those pages, removed unnecessary settings from initialization, cleaned up several settings around the XML commission templates, and updated SettingsWebApiController to view and update AssociateType and ConfigureTrees. All of this work won’t have a direct impact on clients other than the reassurance that our teams are working hard to keep our services running the best they can!

🎁 New! Country Flag an Updated Sorting in Market Selector [Retail Site] Now, in the Country drop down on the Retail Site, the flag will display making it easier to identify your country (especially when the language isn’t set to your own yet). The United States will always be the first option with all other countries showing alphabetically below. 

🎁 New! Initialize By Copying From Any Client [Retail Site Admin] Don’t worry, this setting is not available to our clients for stealing each other’s work. This setting is for our teams, when we launch a new client, to specify which of our default accounts we can pick from so we aren’t stuck with just one default configuration for all our new clients. 

🌟 Improved! Custom Pages Using MFC [Retail Site Admin] Previously, the Custom Pages didn’t have settings and relied on the Navigation for visibility controls. Now Custom Pages can be fully locked down to all the MFC properties that the Retail Site Admin has to offer. 

🌟 Improved! Lots of Tech Health Cleanup [Retail Site] Seriously, cleaning up the code is hard work and such a good thing! Even more clean up happened on our Retail Site and our Retail Admin to remove unused code in the banners, prospects, settings, and TeamLink settings.  

 

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Inventory: Kit Level Shows Calendar Popup [Corp Office] Somehow the date picker got added to the Kit Level field so we cleaned that up and now it’s back to being a string.

🐞Fixed: Multiple Strings Created [Retail API] When a developer with internet issues was trying to create strings it was saving them 3 times. We added checks in so this doesn’t happen accidentally again.

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

  • Improving the user experience for when orders have volume that gets distributed over time.
  • Better backup options for when tax providers go down. 
  • Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
  • Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
  • We are creating more user guides for specific parts of the system such as customization and the Retail Admin.
  • We are creating videos for the most important parts of initial customization.
  • We are documenting the testing needed for going Live with your platform.
