Here’s what’s new with DirectScale the week of April 3rd, 2020.
Welcome to the Friday edition of the DirectScale release notes! This Friday edition is thanks to our amazing development staff who are always conscious of the need for stability of our system—even more so during month end!

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!
🎁 New! Visibility into Split Volume Distribution [Web Office] For those clients who have items where the volume is split over time, visibility into when that volume will be distributed is now available in the Web Office. In the Order Details where the volume has been split you will now see a table of when each amount of volume will be available.
🎁 New! Lots of new Component Templates and Pages [Retail Site Admin] Component templates are access to the default code on the Retail Site for you to customize and make your own. We now have templates for the: find enroller pop up, market selector, default website URL, order invoice page, and auto order invoice page. 🎁 New! API Endpoint to Get Top-Selling Products [Corp Admin API] A new API endpoint has been created to instantly get the list of top selling products. The endpoint is API.V3.Inventory.GetTopPurchaseItems.
🌟 Improved! Commissions Override: Link to Instructions [Corp Office] When doing commissions overrides via file upload you need to download the template and upload it in the same format. Because there are specific instructions that need to be followed, we added a new link directly to the help file with instructions in the page.
🌟 Improved! Enqueue Stats for Orders Created via Import [Corp Office] Previously, when importing orders, the associated associates would not be placed in the stats update queue automatically. Now, no matter how the order is created the associate will be triggered to have their stats updated.
🌟 Improved! Backing Store [Corp Office] A backing store was created so, when an order is in process, the items will not be reset and lost when the cache is cleared.
🌟 Improved! Custom Fields in Submit Application [Retail Site Admin] Now the API will accept additional fields on the Submit Application page through the Retail Site order API calls.
🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed
🐞Fixed: Shipping Method Not Translated [Web Office] When checking out in the Web Office the shipping method wasn’t getting translated. Now it’s working so you can use the translation tools to manage the names of your shipping methods.
🐞Fixed: Navigation Being Called Excessively [Retail Site] The calls to get the navigation items didn’t need to be requested as much as we were. This should help speed up the navigation loading just a bit.
🐞Fixed: Application Custom Template Instructions Missing [Retail Site Admin] When setting up a custom template the code should come in with instructions but they were missing from the Application template. They have been added back in.

- Improving the user experience for when orders have volume that gets distributed over time.
- Better backup options for when tax providers go down.
- Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
- Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
- We are creating more user guides for specific parts of the system such as customization and the eCommerce Shop and Retail Admin.
- We are creating videos for the most important parts of initial customization.
- We are documenting the testing needed for going Live with your platform.
