Release Notes: August 13, 2020

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🎁 New! Product Menu Component Template [Retail Site Admin] Now the Products Menu drop down has been added to our list of component templates giving you even more control over your retail site! This component template is called ProductMenu. 

🌟 Improved! Team Chat: Recent and Unread Tabs [Web Office] To make it easier for associates to manage their messages, we added in tabs for their Recent and Unread messages.

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: GPG Refund Issue with Unsettled Transactions [Corp Admin] If a partial refund was attempted on an order where the payment had not been settled the entire order was voided. We have added in a check for refunds to not be allowed on unsettled orders and ensured that orders were only voided when the entire order has been refunded and cancelled. 

🐞Fixed: Company Info > Website Name Hard Coded to Stage [Retail Site Admin] On the Company Info page, the URL that shows your domain with the shop site URL was hard coded to display directscalestage in the URL. This was just a UI issue and the URLs were always pointing to the right environment.

🐞Fixed: Product Details: Add To Cart/Subscription Button Width Issue [Retail Site] The buttons to add the product to the cart or a subscription on the Product Details page weren’t resizing dynamically to fit the text. They have been updated to resize and truncate the text when it is too long.

🐞Fixed: MFC Not Working With OR Conditions [Web Office Admin] When using the MFC custom configuration rules any statement with an OR condition was being treated as an AND condition. This has been fixed so OR conditions work properly. 

🐞Fixed: Products: Button Alignment Off [Retail Site] On screen sizes wider than 1025px the alignment of the Add to Cart and Add to Subscription buttons weren’t aligned. They are now aligned across all screen sizes. 

📘 Help Center and Training

📘New! Enabling Tax Calculations Based On Taxjar's Locale Nexus [Article] Added this article to help customers understand the configurations within TaxJar’s locale nexus, only calculating taxes based upon the locations configured there.

📘New! Operation Support Policy for Mainland China [Policy] Added this to help customers understand the official support policy.

🌟 Improved! Viewing the Sales Dashboard [Article] Made edits and improvements to expand viewable information and metrics details.

🌟 Improved! Creating Commission Overrides [Article] Made edits and improvements to details about overrides and pay history.

🌟 Improved! SQL Query Library [Resource] Added more helpful and commonly used SQL queries to the library. We will update this regularly as more come to our attention.

🌟 Improved! Configuring Web Office Data Privacy [Article] Made edits and improvements to expand information and details.

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Improving shipping package support and stock level enhancements
• Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We are exploring a new way to deliver developer documentation beyond API documentation including articles with specific code examples.
• We are documenting the Advanced Settings for all three applications.
