🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Control for Shipping Time Delay [Corp Admin] The default time between when an order is placed and when a 3PL could see a package is set to 60 minutes. For clients that would like that to be different there is a new setting found in the Corp Admin under Administration > Advanced Settings > Shipping for setting the “Shipping Availability Buffer”. This sets the time delay for 3PLs that call GetUnshippedPackages.

Improved Unified Checkout Experience [Retail Site] Our teams are constantly working to improve the shopping experience and right now they are busy working on a whole new way to shop and checkout. Keep your eye on the release notes in the next few weeks to see what’s coming and how to take advantage of these new features.

 

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Out of Stock Items Showing In the Cart [Web Office & Retail Site] Changes to how regions are used introduced a new bug with how stock levels are being treated. This caused the stores to show out of stock items as available for purchase. This bug was put in as a hotfix for all clients using stock levels as soon as it was discovered and is now being released to all clients.

🐞Fixed: Country Language List Not Scrolling Retail Site] When the number of countries and languages is so big it expands down the page, the scrolling option was missing. This has been added so clients with lots of countries and languages can see them all on the Retail Site without issues. 

🐞Fixed: Party Date Calendar Picker CSS Issue in Safari  [Web Office] The widget to create a new party in the back office had a CSS layering issue in Safari causing the calendar date picker to not show fully. This issue has been fixed.

📘New! Changing the Available Rewards Box Text [Article] Added an article to explain this concept.

📘New! Receiving a Return [Video] Added a video to explain how to complete this task.

📘New! Enabling XML [Developers] Added these steps into their own article for better visibility.

📘New! ProcessCouponCodes Hook Coupon [Developers] Added an example for how to create custom coupon functionality that doesn't exist in the regular Platform UI.

📘New! Updating Associate Custom Fields with API [Developers] Added information on how to do this.

🌟 Improved! Public API Overview [Developers] Added information on how to use SQL with the Public API.

🌟 Improved! XML Editor [Developers] Added and condensed information.

🌟 Improved! Enabling Custom Fields and Configuring Custom Field Strings  [Developers] Updated formatting and included a few additional snippets of contextual information.

🌟 Improved! SQL Query Library [Article] Added more information to this article.

🌟 Improved! Finding Associate 1099 Tax Information [Article] Added more information to this article.

🌟 Improved! Issue with Associate Not Having a Shop Site [Article] Added information about how URLs are formatted.

🌟 Improved! 🌟 Improved! Disabling Specific Corporate Office Email Templates [Article] Simplified this article by removing unnecessary steps.

🌟 Improved! Assembling the Bill of Materials [Article] Clarifications added.

🌟 Improved! Various [Article] Improved Creating Purchase Orders, Understanding Shipping Synchronization, Adding Vendors, Transferring Inventory, Receiving Inventory by condensing information, adding links, and better formatting.

🌟 Improved! Creating a Report Center Report in the Web Office [Article] Added missing information about what a filter is and is not as well as what they do.

🐞Fixed! Creating Custom Stores Guide [Article] Removed the Price Groups callout that asked users to contact a developer to create a price group.

🐞Fixed! External App to Web Office (Customer ID) and External App to Web Office (External ID) [Article] Made needed clarifications.

 

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

  • Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
  • We have created a DirectScale Marketplace [Beta] for customers to get access to Apps, Integrations, and other expert industry services and will go “live” with it soon.
  • We are working on a Troubleshooting project to improve articles with steps to resolve issues in addition to showing how to do something in the platform.
