Release Notes: September 17,2020

Here’s what’s new with DirectScale the week of September 17th, 2020.

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Shipping Method Logged in Autoship Log [Corp Admin] When changes are made to the shipping method on an autoship record, it is now being logged in the Autoship Event Log. 

🌟 Improved! Autoship Settings Consolidated [Retail Site Admin] To go along with the newly added autoship pages in the Retail Site, all the autoship settings found on the Company Settings > Settings page have been moved under the heading for Autoship. The Autoship Frequency selection has also been moved from the Cart page to this new section. 

🎁 New! Logged In User Setting for Site Webalias Redirection [Retail Site Admin] When logging into the Retail Site, there is a new setting found here: Company Settings > Settings > Global: doNotRouteOnErnollerWebAlias to specify if when a retail customer logs in what webalias they will be logged in to. By default no matter which webalis they start on, they will be logged into their Enroller’s site after authentication. To turn off this behavior, set this setting. 

🌟 Improved! Better Mobile Responsiveness [Retail Site] A lot of little tweaks have been made to improve the usability of the Retail Site on mobile this week. If you would like to see the rather lengthy list, reach out to Customer Care. 

🌟 Improved! Multiple Autoships Setting [Retail Site Admin] To match the setting in the Web Office, the Retail Site now has a setting to enable/disable the users the ability to create multiple autoships.

🌟 Improved! New Header: ‘Shopping With’ Clarity [Retail Site] An update to the new Top Navigation Header that was released last week to it more clear when the user is logged in and shopping under their own webalias. If you are logged in to your own webalias you will see “You are Shopping with Yourself” next to your profile image. 

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Wrong Shipping Method Calculation [Corp Admin] If no shipping method was specified, the default shipping method that was being selected did not take into account the store or region that was being ordered from. This is now updated so if no shipping method is passed in an API request (thereby falling back to the default option), the option returned will be within the correct store/region.

🐞Fixed: Payment Info Not Sticking on Edit Autoship [Retail Site] When editing an autoship in the Retail Site, the saved payment was not staying attached to the autoship. This has been fixed so the user doesn’t have to select their payment method again when editing their autoship.

🐞Fixed: Delete Autoship Bugs [Retail Site] Some settings were not being followed when users would try to delete their autoship on the Retail Site.  Now if the setting to allow users to delete their autoship is turned off, the user won’t be able to get around this by deleting all the items in their autoship and a couple of other quirky little things. 

🐞Fixed: Updating Item Adds New Item [Retail Site] When updating the options of an item already in your cart (i.e. color/size), the Retail Site was adding this as a new item instead of simply updating your selection. This has been fixed.

📘New! Support Guide [Guide] This guide is the official DirectScale support policy. It outlines what to do when you or your team needs support or needs to escalate an issue. 

📘New! Using the Associate Search Tools [Article] Added this new article to improve Advanced Settings for Corporate Office documentation.

🌟 Improved! Data Editor Guide [Guide] Added new User Interface and functionality updates to the developer documentation.

🌟 Improved! Adjusting Associate Commission Volume  [Article] Made updates and improvements to the article formatting.

🌟 Improved! Adjusting Volume on an Order Before the Commission Period is Closed [Article] Made updates and improvements to the article.

🌟 Improved! Updating Your Employee Profile and Managing Corporate Employees [Article] Made updates and improvements to the articles including Forgot Password context.

🌟 Improved! Committing a Commission Profile [Article] Made updates and improvements to Commission Level Fees information.

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Improving shipping package support and stock level enhancements
• Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We are documenting the Advanced Settings for all three applications.
• We are gathering more code examples for quicker learning of custom development.
