Deprecated: This error has been fixed. The Language dropdown now defaults to English. Only an English Product Name is required to save the item.

Problem

When creating an inventory item, you try to save but get the following error:

Error: Product Name is Required!

Solution

1. Ensure you’ve entered your Product Name under the General tab.

If that’s not the issue, the problem typically arises when you have multiple languages configured:

1. Select a Language.

2. Enter a Product Name for each Language.

   Technically, only the first language listed in the dropdown needs a Product Name, but you should enter one for all. If you no longer need a language, you can remove it in the same places you added them, rather than leaving the Product Name blank.
