Release Notes: July 16, 2020

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! TaxJar Tax Exemptions and Nexus Improvements [Corp Admin] To better handle tax exempted associates and better comply with the TaxJar Nexus settings we have updated our integration. This feature has been implemented with a release toggle for clients who have not yet configured their Nexus settings. If you would like DirectScale tax calculations to follow your TaxJar Nexus configurations, please reach out to support. 

🌟 Improved! User Login by Email/CustomerID Settings Consolidated [Corp Admin] The Web Office Admin and Retail Admin both had individual settings to let the user log in with either their email or customer id in addition to their username. These settings have been consolidated and moved into the Corp Admin. 

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: SKU Options Don’t Have Same Category [Corp Admin] The SKU options that get created were not inheriting the same category as the parent SKU. This has been updated so all SKU options also have the same category as the parent.

🐞Fixed: Support for Unicode Characters in Address [Corp Admin] Users could create addresses with unicode characters (i.e. Chinese characters) but when saved to the database the data saved as question marks. The address fields have been updated to support unicode characters.

🐞Fixed: INV_CustomFields Overridden On Save [Corp Admin] When the inventory object was saved through the UI any custom fields that had been set in the database were cleared out. This has been fixed so the only way to save data to the INV_CustomFields is through the API or the database directly. 

🐞Fixed: Unified Admin Bugs [Unified Admin] Several bugs have been addressed with the new Unified Admin that is still in a Beta phase. Fixes include page slow loading issues, blank pages, and the spinner was missing when loading large data. 

🐞Fixed: Refreshing Autoship Confirmation Page Resets Date [Web Office] If the user hit the browser refresh button on the Autoship Confirmed page the date would revert back to the previous date. This unlikely situation has been addressed so no real users have their autoship dates accidentally changed. 

🐞Fixed: Account Settings > Marketing Sites: Visitor Tracker Text is Blurry [Web Office] The widget for users to enter in their Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel ID had slightly blurry text. The style on the widget has been updated to not look blurry.

🌟 Improved! 🌟Initial Setup Checklist [Checklist] Condensed Initial Setup Guide into this more user-friendly checklist.

🌟 Improved! 🌟Customizing Replicated Site URLs [Article] Made updates for flow and accuracy.

🌟 Improved! 🌟Custom Configurations [Article] Made updates for flow and accuracy.

🌟 Improved! 🌟Autoship Guide [Guide] Added Setting up AutoShip Inventory Items to the AutoShip guide.

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We are exploring a new way to deliver developer documentation beyond API documentation including articles with specific code examples.
• We are documenting the testing needed for going Live with your platform.
