Release Notes: July 30, 2020

Here’s what’s new with DirectScale the week of July 30th, 2020.

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Nexio Required Pay API Update [Corp Admin] CMS has updated their Nexio API to remove some confusing data. The https://api.neixopay.com/pay/v3 and https://api.nexiopaysandbox.com/pay/v3 have been updated according to their documentation. 

🌟 Improved! Reports > Sales by SKU Adds Pagination [Corp Admin] The Sales by SKU report is one of the slower reports in the system. We have added pagination to this report to ensure the response time is as quick as possible. 

🌟 Improved! Reports > Legacy Reports Added [Corp Admin] With the addition of paginating and updating some reports, clients have requested to keep some of the old reports. We are adding in 2 reports tagged “legacy” for the Sales by SKU and Total Sales reports. These reports will continue to run significantly slowly than their updated counterparts. 

🌟 Improved! Data Editor Sorting and Exporting [Corp Admin] Now you have the ability to sort the columns in the report and export the data if you wish.

🌟 Improved! Pipeline Moved to Administration and Renamed Deployment [Corp Admin] This was already updated on the Unified Admin, but if you needed to access the Pipelines page directly through the corp admin you had to navigate to the Advanced Settings. Now the page has been renamed “Deployment” and moved under the Administration menu. 

 

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Item Options with Duplicate Descriptions Breaking [Corp Admin] If more than one option on an item had the same description the Item ID assigned would duplicate and essentially break all the duplicate options. Now the options can't be saved with duplicate descriptions. 

🐞Fixed: Navigation Missing After Using Unified Admin [Corp Admin] If you accessed any Corp Admin pages via the Unified Admin and you went to log back in directly to the Corp Admin the navigation header was missing. This has been fixed. 

🐞Fixed: Errors when Orders have 0 Line Items [Corp Admin] When an order has 0 line items the page would error and not render. This has been fixed so if an order has 0 line items the page will still display. 

🐞Fixed: Order Details > Print Invoice Button Broken [Unified Admin] In the Unified Admin the Print Invoice on the Order Details was not working. This has been fixed. 

🐞Fixed: Strings Missing [Web Office] There were several strings missing in the Placement Suite and the Pay History page that have been added in. For the full list of strings, reach out to our customer care team.

🐞Fixed: Pay History Incorrect Currency Symbols [Web Office] The Pay History page had several places where it was getting the currency symbol from the country settings instead of from the actual currency the person was paid commissions. 

🐞Fixed: Party Orders Widget Missing Orders [Web Office] Some orders were missing from the Party Orders widget for a party if the host upgraded to a distributor during the party. This has been fixed. 

🐞Fixed: CA Restrictions in Base Code [Retail Site] We have settings for restricting certain shopping behaviors for CA shoppers. Some of these settings made it into base code and prevented users in CA from shipping to anywhere outside of CA and vice versa. These restrictions have been removed. All clients using those settings have had the restrictions moved to a JavaScript insertion.

📘New! Developer Documentation [BETA] [Website] We have made this work-in-progress website Live and accessible to those who would like to check it out, use it, and suggest feedback. The Developer Documentation site is specifically meant to help customers find custom code examples for the Client Extension, Hooks, APIs, Commissions (XML), Front End Customization, Widgets, Data Editor, and other code snippets to help client, 3rd-party, and partner developers make modifications without needing a DirectScale developer.

📘New! Email Settings and Templates Guide [Guide] Added this guide to help customers customize and update templates with their own images, text, and branding.

📘New! Compensation Plan Guide [Guide] Added this guide to help customers understand the Default Compensation Plan and definitions.

🌟 Improved! Applying Filters for Data [Article] Edits and improvements to details and flow.

🌟 Improved! Using the Table List Sidebar [Article] Edits and improvements to details and flow.

🌟 Improved! Uploading Web Office Documents and Media Resources [Article] Consolidated information.

🌟 Improved! Adding Events to the Web Office Calendar [Article] Consolidated information.

🌟 Improved! Localizing Web Office Content [Article] Consolidated information.

🌟 Improved! Adding Web Office Navigation Links [Article] Consolidated information.

 

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Improving shipping package support and stock level enhancements
• Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We are exploring a new way to deliver developer documentation beyond API documentation including articles with specific code examples.
• We are documenting the Advanced Settings for all three applications.
