Release Notes: March 4, 2021

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Translatable Categories [Corp Admin] Enabling category translation is a long standing request we are happy to announce is now available. You can translate your category names and have them display in all shopping environments in the proper language.

🌟 Improved! Creating Custom Components Improvements [Retail Site Admin] When creating a Component Template you still had to do the JS controller name step that we streamlined for creating Page Templates a few weeks ago. Now you can create Component Templates without having to worry about creating a custom controller and updating the code. 

🌟 Improved! Associate Custom Fields Available [Client Extension] Using the service for IAssociateService.GetAssociate() the object now returns the custom fields from the CRM_AssociateCustomFields table. 

🔮 Upcoming! Improved Unified Checkout Experience [Retail Site] Our teams are constantly working to improve the shopping experience and right now they are busy working on a whole new way to shop and checkout. Keep your eye on the release notes in the next few weeks to see what’s coming and how to take advantage of these new features.

 

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Creating New Profile Time Zone Differences [Corp Admin] When creating a new profile the commission period is defined off of the client assigned time zone, but the periods you see in the drop down are based on your browser time. This issue is apparent for our international clients who have an assigned time zone that is hours different than the time zone of the people running the commissions. This has been fixed so the browser time is ignored when creating a commission profile and only the client time is used.

🐞Fixed: Inventory SKU Option Creation Improved [Corp Admin] When creating SKU options (i.e. colors or sizes), the page wouldn’t render the SKU extensions unless the page was refreshed. This has been fixed so SKU option extensions show up right after saving them. 

🐞Fixed: SMS Text Notifications Coming Through with HTML [Web Office Admin] If the SMS Text notification contained HTML in the template (i.e. a hyperlink), the notification system wasn’t recognizing the HTML. This has been fixed so notifications are not sent out with HTML coding.

🐞Fixed: Sponsor/Enroller Widget Showing Sponsor Only [Web Office] The Sponsor/Enroller widget has settings to show both the Sponsor and Enroller tab or just one or the other. When just the Enroller tab was enabled, it actually showed the Sponsor info incorrectly. This has been fixed to show the proper Enroller info.

📘New! Creating Custom Web Office Widgets and Creating Custom Web Office Pages [Articles] Brought back these articles with more information to help Admins do this using the Rich Text Editor exclusively.

📘New! Stage Environment Introduction [Article] Added an article to explain how to use the Stage Environment (aka Sandbox) for Business and Premium clients.

📘New! Marking a Return as Shipped [Video] Added a video to explain how to complete this task.

📘New! Re-running Failed Orders in Web Office [Article] Added an article to explain how to troubleshoot this.

📘New! Public API Overview [Developers] Added a more in-depth look at the Public API portal.

🌟 Improved! Card-Flip Functionality [Developers] Improved an example of code developers can add when wanting to have custom widgets flip over to show more content when clicked.

🌟 Improved! JavaScript Insertions [Developers] Added section on Replicated Site (WP) insertions that was found in a previous Help Center version.

🌟 Improved! Creating a Custom API [Developers] Added a note about API registration.

🌟 Improved! Custom API Proxy [Developers] General info and style improvements.

🌟 Improved! Calling APIs in Custom Pages [Developers] Added details and more angular code.

🌟 Improved! What is the Client Extension? [Developers] Added additional details for dependency registration.

🌟 Improved! Adding Visual Tree Icons [Article] Added a section on creating SVGs with Illustrator, improved and cleaned up content, and added crosslinks.

🌟 Improved! Setting Up the Web Office Visual Tree [Article] Improved and cleaned up content.

🐞Fixed! Adding Testimonials to the Web Office [Article] Fixed text that read BackofficeID instead of Distributor/AssociateID. It now reads Distributor/AssociateID.

 

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We have created a DirectScale Marketplace [Beta] for customers to get access to Apps, Integrations, and other expert industry services and will go “live” with it soon.
• We are working on a Troubleshooting project to improve articles with steps to resolve issues in addition to showing how to do something in the platform.
