Here’s what’s new with DirectScale the week of June 11th, 2020.

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Data Editor Table Selector [Corp Admin] A major improvement to the experience for users who need to update data directly in the database comes in the form of the new, sleek Data Editor Table Selector. Found on Administration > Data Editor (formerly Data Manager), this page now has the entire list of tables to select from and a friendly way to apply filters.

🎁 New! Autoship Management in Retail [Retail Site] This page matches the autoship manager found in the Web Office and can be enabled by adding a link to /ManageAutoship in your navigation. Make sure to only enable this page to logged in users and the associate types who have autoships in your organization.

🌟 Improved! Search Experience [Web Office] The search bar at the top of the Web Office has been updated to follow better design practices and allows for easier use on desktop and mobile.

🌟 Improved! Unified Localization for Retail Site [Retail Site Admin] When adding strings to the Retail Site, there was an option to add the string to Retail or Retail 2. All strings for the site have been consolidated so now there is one option to add a string. 

🌟 Improved! Stock Level Settings [Retail Site Admin] The same controls for showing items based on the stock levels found in the Web Office Admin now work on the Retail Site Admin.

🌟 Improved! Custom Item Fields Available for Use [Retail Site] Recently, we added support for the inventory items to have up to 5 custom fields. Those fields have now been enabled on the Retail Site for use.

🌟 Improved! Custom Content Collapsable Input Area [Retail Site Admin] To make the job of writing the custom code along with configuring the options on the page much easier, a new collapse option makes it easier to see the rest of the configuration options to be set. 

 

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Reports with a “/” in the Name Broke [Web Office] If a report created in the report center contained a “/” in the name, the URL was breaking. This has been fixed so the page renders that URL to the report safely.

🐞Fixed: Date Formatted to DD/MM/YYYY Wasn’t Working With Autoships [Web Office Admin] If a country had the date format set to dd/mm/yyyy, any new autoship created would get a “invalid date” error. This has been fixed to support all date formats. 

 

📘 Help Center and Training

📘New! Launching in a New Market [Guide] With this guide and checklist, the Admin should be able to launch a new market without needing a developer. There are 11 sections that contain links to a tutorial and/or a specific step-by-step article that will aid you in accomplishing each step.

📘New! Accessing and Requesting Authorization to the Public API Documentation [Resource] Added the process to visit API documentation as a guest as well as request a login for the full API list and API call testing capabilities.

📘New! Introduction to the Unified Admin (BETA) [Article] Added to show an example of the new Unified Admin interface.

📘New! How to Change Static Text in Web Office Admin [Article] Added this supporting article for steps in Web Office customization.

📘New! Customizing Links in the eCommerce Shop Footer [Video] Added this supporting video for steps in Retail Shop customization.

📘New! Modifying The Footer Component in the eCommerce Shop [Video] Added this supporting video for steps in Retail Shop customization.

📘New! How to Configure the Ranks Information Widget in Web Office Admin [Article] Added this supporting article for steps in Web Office customization.

📘New! How to Configure the Sponsor/Enroller Widget in Web Office Admin [Article] Added this supporting article for steps in Web Office customization.

🌟 Improved! Customizable Web Content [Article] Updated to incorporate some great developer feedback.

🐞Fixed Using the GUI Compensation Plan Builder [Article] Fixed incorrect information.

 

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

  • Making it easier to set up subscriptions and annual renewals
  • Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
  • Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
  • We are creating more user guides for specific parts of the system such as adding a new market.
  • We are creating videos for the most important parts of the initial launch eCommerce customization.
  • We are documenting the testing needed for going Live with your platform.
