Release Notes: March 11, 2021

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!
🌟 Improved! Created/Updated Dates on Custom Pages [Retail Site Admin] Now there is visibility into when a custom page, page template, and component template was created and last updated to help keep track of your changes more easily.
🌟 Improved! Added Autoship Frequency to Checkout [Retail Site] When checking out with an Autoship there is messaging that tells you when your autoship will start, previously this did not include the selected Autoship frequency. Now it reads “Your Autoship will process [Frequency], beginning on [Start Date]”
🌟 Improved! “Settled” Payment Status Added to Nexio [Corp Admin] Nexio has added an additional payment response for “Settled” transactions. This payment response is now supported in our system.
🌟 Improved! Cash in Moroccan Dollars [Corp Admin] Continuing our effort to increase the payment availability for international shoppers, we have added MAD as a cash payment option. (MAD credit card transactions are processed through our Nuvei payment integration)
🌟 Improved! New Hooks Around Import Order [Client Extension] Two new hooks have been added called: ImportOrderHookRequest and ImportOrderHookResponse. These hooks will enable custom client code to be written more effectively when orders are created from an outside system.
🔮 Upcoming! Improved Unified Checkout Experience [Retail Site] Our teams are constantly working to improve the shopping experience and right now they are busy working on a whole new way to shop and checkout. Keep your eye on the release notes in the next few weeks to see what’s coming and how to take advantage of these new features.
🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed
🐞Fixed: Russian Language Mapped Incorrectly [Web Office Admin] The language code for Russian was mapped to BE (Belarusian) instead of RU. This has been fixed.
🐞Fixed: On the Complete Page the Member ID was Showing Twice [Retail Site] When checking out for the first time (enrolling) the Complete page was showing the Member ID twice in a row. This has been fixed so users don’t get confused with what their Member ID is.
🐞Fixed: Various UI Bugs [Retail Site, Retail Site Admin, Web Office] A handful of pesky UI bugs have been fixed where text was overlapping, checkboxes not cooperating, and missing styles on the Retail Site, Retail Admin, and Web Office.
📘 Help Center and Developer Portal
📘New! Creating Custom Stores Guide [Article] Added a guide to explain how to create custom stores in the platform such as segment products with pricing available only to those you allow access to the Store or use a different payment provider or warehouse other than your standard options. A Creating Custom Shopping Carts article was also added. This step is important in creating custom stores as well.
📘New! Commission Payment Authorization Error [Article] Added troubleshooting for the error “Couldn’t Authorize” that displays while trying to process commission payments.
📘New! Changing Your Live Domain [Article] Added this as a new article to answer this frequently asked question.
📘New! Printing and Viewing RMAs [Video] Added a video to explain how to complete this task.
📘New! Creating an Associate with the Public API [Developers] Added a more in-depth look and examples for using this API.
📘New! Updating Shipment Packages with APIs [Developers] Added a more in-depth look at using this API.
📘New! Calling Public API from Postman [Developers] Added a more in-depth look at calling this API.
📘New! KPIs (Stats) [Developers] Added a new expanded version of previous documentation.
🌟 Improved! Stats and Projected Commissions Template Names [Developers] Added expanded detail on Stats.
🌟 Improved! Rules [Developers] Added more info about adding Ranks to the Database.
🌟 Improved! Public API Overview [Developers] Added info about API Keys.
🌟 Improved! Example: Reward Points Balance Widget [Developers] Added a section about the API endpoint used for this task and its limits.
🌟 Improved! 1099 Tax Info Query [Article] Added a new SQL query and a disclaimer for clients who want to pull 1099 Tax Information from the platform.
🌟 Improved! Configuring Warehouses [Article] Added a note about adding a warehouse before adding shipping methods to avoid complications. Also improved and simplified the content and formatting.
🌟 Improved! Setting Up a Shipping Method [Article] Improved and simplified the content and formatting.
🌟 Improved! Settings > Binary Placement Preferences Widget [Article] Improved the content and formatting.
🌟 Improved! Re-running Failed Orders in Web Office [Article] Added a note about the Add Payment Methods widget not working with certain Cart Types.
🌟 Improved! Moving an Associate with the Web Office Placement Suite [Article] Included a note about adding the Associate ID as a data point in the Visual Tree to use a certain feature.
🌟 Improved! Settings > Billing > Add Payment Methods Widget [Article] Added a note about the Add Payment Methods widget not working with certain Cart Types.
🌟 Improved! Adding Testimonials to the Web Office [Article] Improved formatting.
🌟 Improved! Setting Up Pack SKUs [Article] Added a note that custom configurations can be added to see Line Items on Invoices.
🐞Improved/Fixed! Help Center [Article] Made the following improvements or fixes:
- Added "Contact Customer Care" link to the header and changed "Submit a Bug" to "Contact Customer Care" wherever visible.
- Added a link to Release Notes on the Developer Portal
- Added a link to Release Notes on the Help Center navigation
- Fixed mobile layout issues caused by the new Contact Customer Care button
🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?
- Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
- We have created a DirectScale Marketplace [Beta] for customers to get access to Apps, Integrations, and other expert industry services and will go “live” with it soon.
- We are working on a Troubleshooting project to improve articles with steps to resolve issues in addition to showing how to do something in the platform.
