Release Notes: June 4, 2020

Here’s what’s new with DirectScale the week of June 4th, 2020.

The weather in Utah is getting warmer and we are getting excited in anticipation for summer!  Our developers and documentation team have been working hard all week to deliver all these fantastic new and updated features.

🎁 New Features and 🌟 Enhancements for All!

🌟 Improved! Text Input Design Standardization [Web Office, Retail Site] We are working towards unifying the components across all the systems to use the same design standards.  We’ve started with text input boxes on the Web Office and Retail Site to follow the Google Material Design standard.

🌟 Improved! Configurable Redirect When No Webalias Found [Retail Site Admin] If a user comes to the Retail Site of a webalias that does not exist, the default behavior was just to redirect them to /Home. Now there is a setting called “invalidWebaliasRedirectionURL” to specify how the site should behave if a shopper is trying to find a webalias that doesn’t exist. 

 

🐞 Bugs That Have Been Squashed

🐞Fixed: Missing Validation on Currency Creation [Corp Admin] When using the Currency page in Administration, there was no validation on the fields that are required. Now Currency Code, Name, and Symbol are required to add a new currency. 

🐞Fixed: Searching for Orders with RWD Display Issue [Corp Admin] The search results for Orders that were paid for with RWD were including the text “ ” instead of actually doing a line break. The unnecessary code has been removed. 

🐞Fixed: Login Box Jumps on Safari Mobile [Web Office] Users trying to log in on a mobile device using Safari would notice that the login area would jump to the top left of the page and sometimes stick there. The page has been updated so Safari users don’t have to try to catch the box as it’s jumping around the page. 

🐞Fixed: Reports with Multiple Filters Issues [Web Office] When a Report in the Report Center had multiple filters, sometimes the last filter would not be honored. This has been fixed and tested for a lot of different scenarios to make sure reports function as designed. 

🐞Fixed: Activity Log Default Date [Retail Site Admin] The Activity Log page in the Retail Site Admin was not displaying records because the date filter wasn’t including the current day. Now the page loads and shows you all activity for the current day by default then you can use the date pickers to select other days.

🌟 Improved! Customizable Web Content [Article] Updated to reference new GADP properties and added other details.

🌟 Improved! Custom Configurations with the DirectScale Query Language [Article] Updated the documentation to include all of the original examples and properties from the previous legacy documentation and made adjustments to the wording of the article.

🐞Fixed Customizing the Web Office Visual Tree [Article] Fixed a broken note.

🐞Fixed Enabling Your Own Custom Enrollment Form [Article] Fixed a critical typo. 

🐞Fixed How to Change Static Text with eCommerce Admin [Article] Fixed a critical typo. 

 

🔮 What Cool Things Are We Working On?

• Making it easier to set up subscriptions and annual renewals
• Unifying the Admin experience across all our tools.
• Ongoing enhancements to improve Retail Admin’s ease of use and add new configurable settings.
• We are creating more user guides for specific parts of the system such as adding a new market.
• We are creating videos for the most important parts of the initial launch eCommerce customization.
• We are documenting the testing needed for going Live with your platform.
